Joseba A. Murillas Joseba Murillas Advisory Board Joseba was appointed Repsol’s Exploration & BD Executive Director in September 2020. He is responsible for global Exploration strategy and operations as well as for Upstream BD activities. He is also a member of Repsol’s Upstream Executive Committee. Joseba joined Repsol in Spain in 1990. Since then he has served in technical and managerial positions of increasing responsibility within the Upstream organization, including assignments in Algeria, Indonesia, Spain, Venezuela, USA (twice) and Argentina. His first executive appointment was in 2004 as Repsol Exploration and BD Director for Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil out of BsAs. He later became Exploration and BD Director for YPF in 2008, and Regional Exploration Director for Latin America out of Houston since 2010. In 2015 and after 25 years of international assignments, he returned to Madrid and was appointed Global Exploration Executive Director in 2016. Joseba holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Bilbao, a MSc degree in Tectonics and Geophysics from the University of Barcelona, an MBA from IESE and completed the ASM program at IMD. Repsol
Elizabeth Thelma Schwarze Liz Schwarze Advisory Board Liz Schwarze is Vice President of Global Exploration for Chevron Upstream, based in Houston, Texas. In this role, she is responsible for Chevron’s worldwide exploration program and chairs the company’s Global Exploration Leadership Team. Liz joined Chevron in 1990 as a development geologist in the Gulf of Mexico and has had assignments in the areas of exploration, reservoir management, strategy and planning, talent development and technology. She has had assignments in multiple locations in the United States, in Venezuela and in Singapore and has worked on projects around the world. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Duke University, a master’s degree in geology from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in business administration from Tulane University. She is the Chair of the Corporate Advisory Board for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Natural Science and Mathematics at the University of Houston. Aldo Napolitano Aldo Napolitano Advisory Board Degree in Geology from the University of Milan. In the Oil & Gas sector since more than 35 years. In Eni he has covered positions of exploration manager in countries in North Africa and Europe, followed by head office positions with regional and then worldwide responsibility for exploration planning and new ventures. He then moved in 2011 as Managing Director to East Europe and then Far East countries with exploration activity. Since 2016 he is in charge for the management of all projects in the exploration portfolio of Eni. In June 2022 appointed as Exploration Director. Eni
John  Ardill John Ardill Advisory Board John Ardill is Vice President of Global Exploration at ExxonMobil, located in Houston, Texas. He was born in the UK and is a U.S. citizen, having worked in the U.S., Europe, South America and the Middle East. After receiving his B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Edinburgh in 1992 and Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool in 1996, John began his career as a geologist with Exxon in London. Over the last 25 years with ExxonMobil, John has held various leadership positions in Exploration, Development, Production, Research, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate. In his current role, John is responsible for ExxonMobil’s exploration activities around the world. John is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Geological Society of London, and serves on several Boards. ExxonMobil
Marc Gerrits Marc Gerrits Advisory Board Marc was appointed to the role of Executive Vice President Exploration in February 2017. In this role, Marc has global accountability for exploration operations and new business opportunities worldwide. Marc’s career has spanned a variety of exploration roles since joining Shell in Australia as a geologist in 1986, bringing over thirty years of experience and leadership expertise to the Shell Group. From February 2015, prior to his current role Marc held the position of Vice President Strategy and Portfolio, Upstream and Integrated Gas. Marc holds a geology degree from the University of Queensland in Australia, and an Executive MBA from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Marc is married with two daughters. Shell International
