Josu Jon Imaz Josu Jon Imaz Chief Executive Officer, Repsol With a Doctorate in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country, he graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Sciences in San Sebastian and received the award of excellence upon completing his degree. Mr. Imaz joined the Repsol Group in 2008 leading its subsidiary Petronor, a company where he managed the challenges regarding modernization, sustainability, and community relations. From 2010 to 2012, he led the Refining and the New Energies Area in Repsol. From November 2011 to September 2014, he was also President of the Spanish Association of Oil Product Operators (AOP). Luis Cabra Luis Cabra Deputy Chief Exec. Officer, Repsol Luis Cabra is currently Executive Managing Director of Energy Transition, Technology, Institutional Affairs, and Deputy CEO. He has also been member of Repsol's Executive Committee since 2012. He joined Repsol in 1984 as a process engineer at the A Coruña refinery in Spain. Since then till 2012, he held management positions in Refining, E&P and corporate units. From 2012 to July 2018, he served as the Executive Managing Director of Exploration and Production. Luis Cabra holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Complutense University of Madrid and has completed business management studies at INSEAD and IMD. Cristina Lobillo Cristina Lobillo Director Energy Policy, European Commission Originally, from Cordoba in Spain, Cristina Lobillo Borrero is a lawyer with qualifications from Spain, Belgium and the Harvard Business School. Having previously worked in the Spanish government for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, she joined the European Commission in 2004, working originally on agriculture policy and then moving to trade issues. From 2014 to 2019 she was the Head of Cabinet to the then EU Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete. As Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete was the EU’s chief negotiator in the COP, she was present in Paris for parts of the COP21 session and therefore had an important role in the EU team. Former Commissioner’s term in office was also noted for its successful overhaul of EU energy legislation under the so-called Clean energy for all Europeans package. From December 2019 to June 2020, she was Principal Adviser at the Directorate General for Agriculture and, from June 2020 to June 2022, she was Director for Energy Policy: Strategy and Coordination in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Energy. In this role, she was heavily involved in the preparations of the legislative proposals of “fit for 55” package. Her responsibilities as Director also included overseeing EU international relations on energy issues, coordination with Member States as well as with the EU institutions, together with the communication, legal and economic aspects of EU energy policy. Ana Palacio Ana Palacio Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Spain, Visiting Professor, Georgetown Univer Ana Palacio, an international lawyer by training, was the first female Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain. Apart from her long career in public service – from leading positions in European institutions to the front lines of the World Bank Group – she has specialized in energy matters. Ms. Palacio currently sits on the corporate boards of publicly-traded energy-focused companies and is a member of the International Advisory Board of OCP Group. She also serves on the Industry Advisory Committee of the International Energy Forum, along with the External Advisory Committee of Secretary Ernest Moniz’s Energy Futures Initiative. She contributes regularly to different publications and is a regular speaker at international conferences on topics related to geopolitics and energy (notably, in the last few months, at the 8th International OPEC Seminar, the 2023 Aspen-Columbia Global Energy Forum, and the Columbia Global Energy Summit 2023, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the University’s Center on Global Energy Policy). Joseba A. Murillas Joseba Murillas Exec. Dir. Exploration & Business Development, Repsol Joseba joined Repsol in Spain in 1990. Since then he has served in technical and managerial positions of increasing responsibility within the Upstream organization, including assignments in Algeria, Indonesia, Spain, Venezuela, USA (twice) and Argentina. His first executive appointment was in 2004 as Repsol Exploration and BD Director for Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil out of BsAs. He later became Exploration and BD Director for YPF in 2008, and Regional Exploration Director for Latin America out of Houston since 2010. Elizabeth Thelma Schwarze Liz Schwarze Vice-President Exploration, Chevron Liz Schwarze is Vice President of Global Exploration for Chevron Upstream, based in Houston, Texas. In this role, she is responsible for Chevron’s worldwide exploration program and chairs the company’s Global Exploration Leadership Team. Liz joined Chevron in 1990 as a development geologist in the Gulf of Mexico and has had assignments in the areas of exploration, reservoir management, strategy and planning, talent development and technology. She has had assignments in multiple locations in the United States, in Venezuela and in Singapore and has worked on projects around the world. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from Duke University, a master’s degree in geology from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in business administration from Tulane University. She is the Chair of the Corporate Advisory Board for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Natural Science and Mathematics at the University of Houston. Marc’s career has spanned a variety of exploration roles since joining Shell in Australia as a geologist in 1986, bringing over thirty years of experience and leadership expertise to the Shell Group. From February 2015, prior to his current role Marc held the position of Vice President Strategy and Portfolio, Upstream and Integrated Gas. Ann Robertson-Tait Ann Robertson-Tait President, GeothermEx Ann Robertson-Tait is the President of GeothermEx, a consultancy that has worked exclusively in the geothermal sector for the past 50 years. Ann has worked on hundreds of geothermal projects in more than 50 countries. She advocates for and increases the visibility of geothermal energy’s wide spectrum of utilization options, providing input to energy policy, informing electricity providers and customers about geothermal energy, and increasing awareness and funding for the only major renewable source of clean 24/7 power. Andrew James Latham Andrew Latham VP Energy Research, Wood Mackenzie Andrew has over 30 years experience assisting majors and independents in the development of their energy strategies. He currently leads Wood Mackenzie’s subsurface research content across all aspects of the upstream oil and gas and emerging geo-energy industries. Andrew previously led the Exploration Strategy offering within the Upstream Consulting business. He worked with clients to help optimize their investments in petroleum exploration and advised on strategy, process, opportunity characterisation and evaluation. As part of this offering, Andrew directed Wood Mackenzie’s series of multi-client projects on deepwater, Arctic and exploration themes. Andrew has been with Wood Mackenzie’s energy team since 1995. Until the end of 2001, he managed the team responsible for Sub-Saharan Africa research products and consultancy, undertaking a range of market analysis and regional strategy projects. Mathios Rigas Mathios Rigas Chief Executive Officer, Energean Mr. Rigas is a founding shareholder of Energean. He is a Petroleum Engineer with a combination of oil & gas and investment banking experience. He has been the CEO of the Group since 2007 and has led Energean to successful listings on the London Stock Exchange and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and a couple of transformational deals, namely the acquisition of the Karish and Tanin fields, offshore Israel, in 2016, and the acquisition of Edison E&P in 2019. Under his leadership, Energean has been able to secure $3bn financing for its projects and become the first E&P company in the world ever to commit to becoming a net zero emitter by 2050. Being a leader of a rapidly growing E&P group, Mr. Rigas won the ‘Executive of the Year’ at the Oil and Gas Council’s Awards of Excellence in 2018. As Vice President of Shipping, Energy & Project Finance at Chase Manhattan Bank in London (1993-1999), Mr. Rigas arranged financing in excess of US$5 billion, mainly in the oil & gas sector. Otaviano Cruz Pessoa Neto Otaviano Pessoa Neto General Manager for Data and Applied Technologies, Petrobras Otaviano da Cruz Pessoa Neto is the Exploration General Manager for Data & Applied Technologies at Petrobras. He holds an MSc in Stratigraphy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do sul, Brazil. Otaviano joined PETROBRAS in 1986, after his graduation, as an Operation Geologist working in several basins in Brazil. After his Master Degree, in 1998, he worked as interpreter in the Brazilian Equatorial Margin for nearly eight years, from Foz do Amazonas to Potiguar basins. Assigned as interpretation manager in 2007 and General Exploration Manager in 2010, he led the interpretation teams of the Brazilian Equatorial Margin until 2013. Designated General Exploration Manager of all Brazilian Onshore basins until 2016, when he was assigned as General Manager of Geology and Petrophysics. From 2019 to 2023 he led the Strategic Program EXP100, being responsible for the development of several technological solutions to support Exploration Projects. His main interests today are the application of integrated geological and geophysical solutions to minimize risks and uncertainties in E&P Projects. Petrobras
