Airport

The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport currently has four terminals. Metro de Madrid is conveniently accessible from any of them using the two stations located at the airport: Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 Station and Aeropuerto T4 Station, both on L8. The subway runs from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Public Transport Cards

To travel on Metro de Madrid, you must have a Public Transport Card (TTP) loaded with a valid ticket type for the journey you wish to make.

Multi Public Transport Card: This card can be purchased from the ticket machines at any Metro station. The price of the card is €2.50.

Metro

If you’re planning to use the metro from Madrid Airport to Plaza de España, you can take subway line 8 (L8).

Taxi

The distance from Madrid Airport to Hotel RIU Plaza España is 22km and the time you will need is 21 minutes.

The final price for your ride should be indicated by the taximeter. Therefore, we recommend that you make sure that driver starts the meter at the beginning of the trip, and it shows the minimum rate or initial service. It is possible to request your invoice once you arrive at your destination.

UBER

Uber services are extensively available in Madrid. Signing up for Uber in Madrid is really easy. It all starts by making an account online or from your mobile phone after downloading the free Uber app. Once you have one, you can start Uber-ing around Madrid with ease. If you have Uber already before you come to Spain, then your Uber app will automatically update to the Spanish version once you arrive and set up your phone for Spain.
